On June 25th and 26th, the UnderSec project participated in the Project to Policy Seminar (PPS), an event organized by the European Research Executive Agency (REA) and the Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs (DG HOME). This seminar is organized each year and newly initiated civil security research projects are invited to participate.
The event features an in-person format with breakout sessions, preceded by a plenary session that includes several presentations of general interest. The aim is to increase awareness among the relevant policy Directorates-General about the new projects and to offer guidance to these projects on producing policy-related outputs of interest to the Directorates-General.
UnderSec project was represented by Vittorio Sangermano and Raffaella Russo, both from ISSNOVA. Vittorio presented the project to the Border Management group, enlightening the features and potentialities of the UnderSec project.
Raffaella paved the way to the siblings’ projects clustering activities, with the aim to envisage possible synergies activities in a cross-fertilizing perspective.
The interest towards the UnderSec foreseen achievements was very high, since the ambition of the project has been clearly recognized.
UnderSec is really glad of having had the opportunity to participate in such a stimulating event.
Indeed, the first project workshop to be held in Crete on October 22nd, 2024 will be designed considering the information collected during the PPS.
